 WHO: ~ Beach, Havens and Wildwood students currently in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. WHAT: ~ This popular elementary school track and field meet, “Piedmont Relays” is back again this year and we need your involvement! Come participate in some fun running and field events and everyone is a winner! Meet takes place rain or shine. WHERE: ~ Witter Field Track EVENTS ~ There will be a sprint, long distance race and several field events including the long jump high jump and turbo-javelin throw. New this year will be a hurdles race. Plus every kid will team-up and run a relay race. WHEN: ~ The meet is scheduled for To Be Announced. The first event is at 3:15 p.m. Please wear running attire including running/gym shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt. Note: Check-in for the meet will start at 2:00 p.m. ORGANIZERS: ~ The meet is being held under the auspices of the Piedmont Recreation Department and fees paid will go to support the PMS middle school sports program. The coordinators are David Weisgerber (Piedmont Recreation Department), Len Goldman (PMS Cross Country and Track Coach), Raul Jorcino (Havens teacher). Food and refreshments will be sold at the concession stand. FEE:
~ $10 participation fee if you register prior to race day and it includes a meet t-shirts (first 200 kids who register). Checks are payable to: Piedmont Recreation Department. If you register the day of the meet, the fee is $15. |
